A POV display shield for the Proto 0.03 board. The ICSP headers allow easy uploads of new words in the display.
A simple test with some recycled parts on a piece of stripboard. Five smd leds from an old TV remote, enabling a way to expose the bottom of the stripboard with smd leds.

The example below is a piece of perfboard. It is easier to use stripboard of the same dimensions and cut a breakline straight throught the middle.
Connect all the Cathode (-) together throught the 100 Ohm resistor with GND.
Leave the Anodes separated and connect these like below:
